Overview

For some, a K-12 education in the U.S. is a formative experience that provides them with the skills necessary to identify and apply their aptitudes, whether through further education or a career. But for too many students, K-12 education is not providing these experiences and instead becomes a barrier to success. At Stand Together, our K-12 team is exploring a variety of programs that range from improving traditional programming to innovative new models that could radically transform how K-12 education is provided. If you have a passion for improving K-12 education and believe that the system can provide a high-quality education for all students, then we believe we have an opportunity for you.

We are looking for a Research Analyst who can work with a diverse set of capabilities to help shape the Stand Together's efforts to transform K-12 education and ensure that all students have access to an effective and inspirational educational experience. Success will require combining experience in educational grantmaking with knowledge of the K-12 educational landscape.

Your Responsibilities Include
  • Provide analysis and recommendations on grant proposals relative to the key goals in K-12 education
  • Research and develop an understanding of various academic disciplines to identify new grantmaking opportunities
  • Lead efforts to optimize existing investments within the K-12 education portfolio

Knowledge and Skills You Bring to the Organization
  • 3-5 years of research experience
  • Ability to analyze and contextualize scholarly publications
  • Demonstrated inquisitiveness and ability to explore new intellectual spaces
  • Robust written communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to apply strategic thinking skills to organizational goals
  • Works well in a highly collaborative environment

Standout Candidates May Also Bring
  • Professional experience in K-12 education space
  • Knowledge of K-12 pedagogy and policy
  • Knowledge or experience with academic grantmaking
