Overview

Rahns Construction Material Co. seeks to hire a Concrete Dispatcher for our brand-new Central Dispatch Office.

Rahns Concrete is a family owned and operated company that has been competitive in the ready-mix industry for over 40 years. We supply ready-mix concrete for residential, commercial, industrial and government projects in Northeast Pennsylvania and New Jersey.

The primary responsibility of this position is to ensure the highest level of customer satisfaction during order taking, dispatching, scheduling of drivers and deliveries.

Responsibilities

QUALIFICATION:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or ability required.
  • Ready Mix experience highly desirable and preferred.
  • Experience with Command Alkon Integra Dispatch and Trimble Tracking is desirable.
  • Punctuality, attendance, and dependability is absolutely essential in this role.

Responsibilities
  • Day-to-day dispatching of large fleet of Redi-Mix trucks from local and portable concrete plants.
  • Maintain timely deliveries to our customers while focusing upon the company's productivity objectives.
  • Assist in responding to sales and customer requests, while enhancing customer satisfaction and public relations.
  • Provide on-job customer support.
  • Able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proven record of dependability.
  • Good attention to detail in order entry and documentation.
  • Able to handle a stressful environment with multiple. and conflicting demands.

Essential Job Functions:
  • Develop delivery routes
  • Maintain contact with concrete delivery drivers throughout the day to ensure the safe and efficient product delivery.
  • Evaluate information necessary to satisfy the delivery needs of the concrete customer.
  • Generate accurate delivery tickets to the Batch Person/Plant Operator in a timely manner.
  • Directs the Batch Person/Plant Operator to make proper changes in product mix to meet customer demand.
  • Direct drivers on proper clock procedure.
  • Adjust order schedule times during production to keep pace with the customers actual unload rate.
