Overview
As our Information Security Manager, you will be responsible for developing a team, best practices/processes, and contributing to a strategic vision for organizational cyber security. You will also build capability in your team and across the IT department to mature our security posture and standards.
To thrive in this role, you must be a proactive, hands-on leader comfortable wearing multiple hats and have a passion for growing a security program and team through measurable KPIs.
Your Responsibilities Include:
Remain actively involved in and/or oversee security areas such as Vulnerability Management, Identity & Access Management (IAM), Endpoint Detection & Response (EDR), Incident Response, Applications, and Network Security
Coach and mentor direct reports and teammates across IT to drive a culture of security awareness & best practices
Partner with IT Security Program Manager, IT leadership & Security team to plan and execute our broader cyber security strategy
Use business acumen and strategic thinking to apply the right set of IT security practices and standards that meets business need and risk philosophy
Work with team to prioritize and triage cyber security incidents or threats, ensuring each is appropriately analyzed and addressed
Develop, document, and implement information security procedures to operationalize information security standards and policies
Build point-of-view on security tools in place and product roadmap(s) to get the most out of our security tools
Serve as a technical adviser for projects and provide technical support on information security matters
Analyze/review information on emerging cyber threats while remaining actively engaged in industry forums on threats and opportunities
Make process improvement recommendations to leadership at all levels to ensure compliance with laws, standards, and policies while managing business risks
Develop programs and champion security awareness to strength system security and mitigate risk
Advise the organization with current information about security technologies and related regulatory issues, including analysis and proposal of security products and services to determine best risk management environment
Knowledge and Skills You Bring to the Organization:
5+ years of Information Security experience including 2+ years' experience leading a team
Significant experience using vulnerability management tools such as Splunk, ZScaler, Windows Defender
Working knowledge of Cloud Security in hybrid environment infrastructure (AWS, Azure)
Ability to help plan and execute on projects, working with Engineers to cover Endpoint Security and IAM
Proven ability to coach and develop a team
Ability to think critically about business needs and apply a flexible approach to security to meet organization's needs and risk tolerance
Demonstrable technical knowledge of managing security technologies involving networks, applications, and endpoints, as well as incident response, computer forensics, and network administration
Experience developing, implementing, and evaluating security standards and procedures in multiple platforms and systems environments
Understanding of key security technologies such as encryption, TCP/IP, HTTP, DNS, web application security, data loss prevention, mobile device management, etc.
Demonstrable experience working closely with IT and executive leadership and staff to develop plans, designs, architectures, and roadmaps to create a proactive information security environment
High level of personal integrity and the ability to handle confidential matters with strong judgment
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
